Most people have a tendency to over
hang their walls. I can save you money and create a
far more distinctive look if you follow a few of my
suggestions. Believe me, I know what I am talking about,
because many homes use these concepts and regularly
win interior design awards.
Many clients and decorators place
two or three vertical subjects side by side to do a
horizontal area over a couch, dining table, hall or
master bed space.
The rational for this is that the eye will always move
back and forth between the subjects, making the wall
more interesting over time and far less tiring.
Most fireplaces use a vertical piece of art in the
space above it because a horizontal makes a room look
short and squatty, where as the vertical makes a room
more statuesque, and works better with the ceiling height.
Let the space around the art work to its advantage.
